Standards and Testing

Throughout the history of education, the most used form for the measurement of learning has been testing. This has taken many different formats. Recently, there have been many different standardized tests in many different levels of education. In many states, there is a standardized test that is required for students to pass in order to graduate high school.

There are also certain states that are experimenting with tests to not only measure the success of the students but also using the student’s test results to measure the success of the teachers. This has been controversial and many teachers disagree with it (of course there are also many proponents of it), but there are some districts that are experimenting with the idea.

These resources are helpful for both students and teachers. For students, you will find test advice, test preparation materials, and specific test information. For teachers, you will find research about testing, testing ideas, and tools to create tests or quizzes.
